Leaders Connect

ALD HQ has rebranded and refocused the Leadership Summits to Leaders Connect. Free, online opportunities for all chapter officers (past, current, and potential) to connect with one another, share ideas, and gain information from Headquarters to ensure your success as an ALD leader and beyond.

Sessions will be offered in September, November, January, and March. Students who attend at least three sessions will receive a Leaders Connect certificate of completion at the end of the year. Students who attend all four sessions will also be entered for a drawing to win one of five $75 gift cards. Cameras are required to be on during each full session for attendance and participation verification.

Session 1

The first Leaders Connect session will be held on Friday, September 18 from 11 am to 1 pm ET (10am-12pm CT, 9-11am MT, 8-10am PT, 7-9pm GST+4) and Sunday, September 20 from 3 to 5 pm ET (2-4pm CT, 1-3pm MT, 12-2pm PT, 10pm-12am GST+4). This is the only session that will be offered multiple times.

This session will provide an overview of Alpha Lambda Delta and how to be successful in your leadership role, as well as cover tips and best practices for preparing your chapter now for entry in the chapter awards in late spring: Order of the Torch, Maintaining the Flame, and the Spark Awards.

A Look Ahead

The November session will be an opportunity for student officers to share what they learned at the conference and how they’re planning to implement a new idea, program, or event. It will also cover ALD scholarships and how to help your members apply for them.

The January session topic is under development.

The March session will cover leadership transition and how to prepare your chapter for its next group of officers.
