About The Series:

The Certificate Series is a collection of 12 “mini-courses” on important leadership and career preparedness competencies. The competency definitions, provided by Dr. Corey Seemiller, author of The Student Leadership Competencies Guidebook (Jossey-Bass, 2014) have been developed from years of research analyzing learning outcomes in all accredited academic programs in higher education. The results: essential leadership competencies for the 21st century. Additional curriculum content was informed by the Council for the Advancement of Standards in Higher Education, CAS Standards for Leadership Education and Development.

Completion of the series will help ALD members develop the competencies necessary for chosen careers and enhance one’s ability to reflect and apply learning in future academic, professional, and life contexts.

Each course in the series is anchored by a brief video presented by popular leadership speakers who are engaging and informative.

The series is self-paced with the option to complete as many of the courses as desired. Students completing 10 of the 12 will receive a Certificate of Completion, issued jointly by Alpha Lambda Delta and Lead365.

Alpha Lambda Delta is pleased to partner with Lead365, a premier collegiate leadership organization that plans conferences for college students, new professionals, and leadership educators. They develop leaders who make a difference 365 days a year.
