Outstanding Advisor of the Year
Congratulations to Marty Knepper of Morningside College, winner of the 2010-2011 Outstanding Advisor of the Year Award!
Exciting change to the Advisor of the Year Award - see below!
Has your Advisor been helpful to your chapter? Has your advisor gone beyond the call of duty to make the chapter successful? You are the person who best knows how hard your Chapter Advisor works to make Alpha Lambda Delta more successful on your campus! Would you like to reward him/her in a very special way?
Start by downloading a copy of the nomination form. It is not necessary that you do all the work yourself. Appoint a committee now to collect recommendations and complete the nomination form. When the February 15 deadline arrives, your Chapter will have an excellent nomination prepared. Ask the people who help you to keep it a secret. If you have a winner, there could be a surprise presentation by a campus dignitary you invite. Or a surprise presentation party could be given by the chapter.
The winning advisor receives a beautiful certificate, a letter sent to the President of your institution informing that person of the significant honor and an all-expense-paid trip to the National Leadership Workshop next fall. At the workshop, a more tangible award is presented. The honored advisor also gives a presentation at the workshop.
New since 2009-2010: The chapter whose advisor is selected as the Outstanding Advisor of the Year will receive a $200 award from National Alpha Lambda Delta!
